Denoise function freezes computer

I updated to LrC 12.3 yesterday.  When I try to use the new Denoise function in the Develop module under Detail, it freezes my computer and eventually my Macbook pro will shut down entirely.  Lightroom functions fine otherwise, I just can't use the Denoise function. I am editing RAW images.  Anyone else having these issues?

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.

Also, what specific MAC computer?

I'm having the same problem with my M1 MacBook Pro and Lightroom Classic. The first time I tried denoise it worked beautifully, but since then it freezes Lightroom Classic and I have to do a force quit.

Not the same problem if LrC crashes but the computer keeps running. Please put this in its own thread. And provide a lot more information about your hardware.

Same exact problem. Have a macbook pro late 2014  plus Big Sur latest available update as of april 2023! . LrC crashes and shuts down my computer when using on .raw files in LrC or on ACR either one when tried out the Denoise new function on four different raw pics! guess new adobe tech isn't going to work. bummer!!!
