Can someone tell me how to fix this error. I found something on this forum but the INcorrect answer dealt with a panoramic issue and NOT this HDR issue. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
I believe I resolved my issue. I had Raw +jpeg selected. Apparently the first bracketed photo shot raw while the other two shot JPEG. The three cannot be merged

Lightroom likes the raw files to be of the same size (original pixels), close to same scene (tripod shots?), exposed with different camera settings "Bracketed" (aperture, shutter, iso).
Can you give details of the photos you are trying to merge?

good morning and thanks for the reply.
I have been using the same process for YEARS. Interior photography, same ISO, same aperture and same shutter speed. Tripod shot and 3 brackets. +2 up and -2 down. This problem only seems to have happened within the past 2 weeks so I don't know if there's been an auto update that has occurred. this is not a matter of not knowing how to use HDR merge, it's more an issue of software flaw. Looking forward to your helpful input for resolution. Thanks.

It's working normally for me on Windows 7 with LR C 2015.12. Can you post two or three raw files that exhibit the issue to Dropbox?

I also would like to help you by testing two or three raw files (from Dropbox).
And could you report your version of Lightroom from the Menu Help>System Info (the first line in the box)
(Merge to HDR was added to LR in April 2015 LRv6)

Glad you have it working.
Put it down to "Human error"
The 'mix' of file types never occurred to me.

Last resort-
If you have Photoshop- Export the raw to jpg, and send three JPGs to the Photoshop "merge to HDR in Photoshop" function.

good point! thanks! only thing is Photoshop HDR seems too over processed for me...not realistic. LR does a really good job with their HDR processing. You know?

Agree. And simpler to achieve also. Keep on editing.
