Export Slideshow as Video hangs

Using 9.2.1 and I'm trying to export 733 images as a slideshow and the batch job has been stuck at about 10% for a couple of hours now It's running on Windows 10  i9 processor 64GB memory with SSD hard drives so it's not a PC performance issue

Some of the other posts have reported this works:

Turn OFF "Zoom to Fill frame".

You have most likely tried this though.

It's off already. I don't use this feature a lot so I'm not sure what I'm doing with it

I converted all the RAW images to JPGs and the export is working now

Is there an update on this issue?  It's been a problem for multiple versions (and both mac/windows).  Pretty lousy experience, with a hard-to-discover workaround.
