Exporting a picture

When I export a picture the changes I made in LR are not exported.  Why not and how do I export with the changes???

The most likely reason the changes are not applied is that in the File Settings panel of the Export dialogue, Image Format was set to Original. That will export the file without any of your edits. You need to choose an actual file type in that field.
