New Here ,
Dec 26, 2017 Dec 26, 2017

So i just did an update a day or two ago and today i was working in lightroom and walked away for about an hour, came back and lightroom was flashing in the background. i shut down lightroom. I shut down my computer. Is it a computer issue or a Lightroom issue? And what can i do to fix it?

What version of Lightroom? Don't say the latest. We need to know the exact version.

What operating system?

Have you turned the computer back on and tried again?

I use Lightroom Classic CC.

I have a Dell Inspiron 13 7000, Intel core i5, and Windows 10.

Yes i did a restart and a complete Shut down.

Both my computer did updates this last week and Lightroom also did one. So i'm praying it's just something from one of the updates.

But my screen from lightroom is "strobe like" flashing on my entire screen.

If this is just happening in Lightroom, and you can see well enough to do it, go to the Lightroom preferences, performance tab, and remove the checkmark from the GPU option and see if that fixes the problem. I don't know if that will help but it's worth a try.

LATEST

I have no intention of sounding facetious but your problems remind me or weeks past.

You mention Windows 10 and updates. I had (until a week ago) a perfectly powerful Windows 10 Pro system.

I've been a Windows user since ver 1 (1985) and beta tested every single version since.

Windows updates finally scrambled that system 1 too many times.

I now have a new iMac.  Issue solved.

Your problems are not caused by Adobe or by the specs of your computer. IMO they are caused by Windows.
