Having a show overlay issue

Explorer ,
Sep 20, 2023 Sep 20, 2023

While playing around with masking in Lightroom Classic, I made some unknown changed that affects the overlay.

When setting up a mask for Subject, Sky or Background, the mask is generated but the overlay shows on not what i want to mask on.

In the attached sample, I want to make changes to the model. All my changes are made to the model but the overlay shows on the background.

If I click on Invert, the masking is changed to the background but the person shows the overlay.

I am running on a Windows 11 pro with Lightroom CC at 12.5 release.

On my laptop masking works with the selected model showing the masking overlay correctly.

Looking for assistance with restoring the overlay showing on the mask.

Thanks in advance

Johan,

Thanks for your response.

After comparing my desktop vs. laptop settings, I clicked on Color Overlay Settings asnd saw that I had changed the Overlay Shows setting. My laptop showed Affected Area whereas my desktoip was set to Unaffected Area.

Thanks for taking the time to assist me in correcting my error.

Stu
