I just got a new computer (macOS) so I was transferring all of my photo editing software and I had to manually import all of my presets again. I have some masks that I made (Lightroom Classic) that didn't transfer over. I don't have them saved on my hard drive (I don't know how). I contacted Adobe and thier support specialist sent this message:
"You need to export the .xmp files from another computer you will be able to find the location under lightroom>preset > Develop preset and it will show you the location of the path from where you can copy it and put it onto a hard drive and copy it under the same location on your other computer."
I tried doing this but I was very quickly confused. I don't want to export the whole preset, just the mask settings. I know you can purchase masks individually, so it is possible, I just don't know how to do it.
Brush presets (also called local-adjustment presets, also called effect presets) are stored as .lrtemplate files. To find their folder, do Preferences > Presets > Show All Other Presets, which opens Finder / File Explorer on the Lightroom settings folder. Look in the subfolder "Local Adjustment Presets".

I wasn't sure if the proper term would be "brushes" not "masks" but I just double checked if you could buy brushes, and you can. Adobe support said I couldn't when I contacted them again, but I think it's becuase I said "masks" not "brushes." So I guess now my question is, how can I save my brushes onto a hard drive in Lightroom Classic?
