How make LRC display photos clearly in less time?

On Adobe LRC in Windows 11 every time I change the active photo it take > 8 seconds before it displays clearly on the screen no matter if I have standard or smart previews built already.  This is cumbersome when I'm trying to browse through a full shoot (at least 200) of photos at the end of the day to decide which will be deleted and which is still worth editing.  Why do I keep seeing this one the screen for so long after moving to the next item in the current collection?  Is there any way around it so I can go on a quicker trip to try and weed out the shots not worth it?  Thank you for any ideas.

Hey, @Dave Rye. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. Please share the system info from Lightroom Classic from Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Where do you keep your Lightroom catalog & the original images, internal, or external drive?

As primary steps, try this:

  • Unplug additional displays & use only one by default.
  • Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor > Set it off if it is on Custom or Auto. If this shows any differences, please check this article to troubleshoot further: https://adobe.ly/3uYiJo4

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

You are apparently selecting images from a collection called Full Shoot. But over on the left, in the collections panel, no such collection. Is it simply scrolled out of view? And what is with the empty collections, just old left overs, or an issue?
