How to set a date to a selection of photos ?

Is there a way to assign a specific date to a selection of photos, regardless of what the current date in these photos is ?  It looks like, that the date is automatically shiftet according to the current date (which is often very helpful), however, sometimes you don't want this.

You mean "Meta data / Edit Capture time" ? That changes only the first picture of the selection to the new time. All other pictures will change according to the offset resulting from the first picture.

No, you can‘t. The new date is only assigned to the most selected picture. All other pictures will adjust their creation date according to the difference resulting from the old and new creation date of the most selected picture.

What I need is a way, to assign the very same date to all selected pictures, regardless of their current creation date.

Sounds like the right tool. However, after I installed it, it will not show in the list of available plugins:
