Images not showing up after Import

Hello everyone,

for some time now I am encountering the folloing problem:

- I Import RAW Files to my FileStructure on my Mac.
- then like usual I import them into LR

- the files show up in the Import dialogue but then don´t show up withing LR (both in develop and in library)

- i then have to restart LR and then the files show up.

The newly added Folder is greyed out and does not show a number of Pictures.

After importing the a new folder the previously added folder does not have this issue anymore.

Same thing happens not only when Importing a new Folder but as well when synchronizing a folder that already is in the cataloue in order to import newly added files.


I tried it a couple of time already but get the same issue with RAWs and Jpegs alike.

I initially supected the lack of SSD Space to be the problem but with 50% of the SSD being free this can not be the problem.

Maybe someone can help me out as the constant restarting of LR starts to be very anoying after doing it for about a month.

My Specs are:
Lightroom Classic version: 12.1 [ 202212072312-d7ab524b ]
Operating system: Mac OS 13
Version: 13.0.1 [22A400]

Apple M1 Max

64GB RAM
4TB ssd

In the LrC import, did you select Add, or was this a Copy?

I use Add all the time, as I tend to copy files with finder/other Software.
