Images slow to load in Develop & Library

Hi Smart People

I need help.  Lightroom is crippling slow to load the images and I have done everything I can find / think of to speed it up.  In no particular order.

  1.  I am running the very latest release, 14.0.1.
  2. I am up to date and running the latest from Apple on Sequoia 15.01.1
  3. I have 72 GB of memory
  4. I have the AMD Radeon Pro 5500 XT 8 GB Graphics Card.
  5.  I have a 4 TB external hard drive connected through the Lightening Port and I have 1.4 TB free on that.
  6. I disabled all of my plugins.
  7. I have optimized my Catalog
  8. I only have a 19,000 images in my catalog
  9. I have adjusted the Performance to use the Grapics Processor and have a 45 GB cache.
  10. I downsized my preview to below the resolution of my Mac.
  11. I ran system checks on the hard drive and external hard drive and all showed up as great.

It come to mind that something has happened to your previews. I could not imagine what.

Select one of your most recent folders (preferably one with plenty of images), then in Library Menu > Previews > Build Standard Size Previews. A screen will pop up asking if you want to do this to all the photos in the folder: Say yes.

Does that help?

LrC should work fine with Standard Previews set to the size equal to your screen resolution.
