Import Photo's

When I go to import photos into the lightroom cc I get this. Could not copy a file to the destination folder it is not writable

This means that you don't have sufficient permissions on the folder you want to export to.

In the File Explorer, right click the folder to open Properties, then go to the Security tab

Click the Edit button to change permissions.

You need both READ and WRITE permissions.

Alternatively, import to a different folder, where you alreday have the required permissions.

One more thing to check:

From inside the import dialog, go to the Destination panel and verify that it is pointing to your desired location. When pointing to the wrong place, this accurate error message can come with a not-so-obvious reason why.
