Importing RAW files get automatically cropped

New Here ,

When I import certain RAW file landscape style photos from my desktop, SD card, etc. into light room it seems that lightroom crops the photo and makes it narrower. I clicked the cropping tool and tried to change it to "as shot" or "original" but nothing happens. When I open the RAW photo up on my computer (not in lightroom) it is the full size. It just becomes smaller when I try to import the photo. This only happens on certain photos thought. I also tried to reset and reinstall lightroom. Nothing has worked.

Canon 5d mark iii, I thought it may have been a crop restriction on my camera settings but I have not changed my camera settings and some photos get cropped and others do not.

Also I think I just realized that the images that are getting cropped when imported were shot in live LCD view not through the view finder. Maybe that has something to do with it.

So what Aspect Ratio do you have set in the camera menu #4 (the LV functions menu)?
