IRCAT file

Lightroom Classic:

how it is possible to change the allocation of IRCAT file, catalog file;

i.e. : from che "C" disk to "D" disk? It is not clear in the guide.

Is your hard drive petitioned? Is the D drive an external drive? You can move the Lightroom folder to an external but it's recommended that it run on your internal drive for best performance.

As mentioned above you can MOVE the Catalog but you cannot 'reallocate' it to as you say.

I gusee you mean change the location??

Again just copy the folder from one drive to another and open then Catalog  in the new location by double clicking the lrcat file. 

Some things: 1 - why do you want to do this? 2 - is D internal or external?

"D" disk is internal.

The reason is that the "C" disk is small and full.

In LRC preferences and settings I didn'find any way to put a new path for LRCAT.

You don't do this in preferences.

With Lightroom closed, use the File Explorer to copy the folder that contains the catalog to the D drive.

Then, still using the File Explorer, open the folder on the D drive, and double-click the catalog file, which has the extension .LRCAT. This will launch Lightroom.

Once you've made sure that everything is in working order, you can delete the catalog folder on the C drive.

If you don't know where to find the catalog folder on C, open Lightroom and go to Edit > Catalog Settings > General, which will show you the name and location of the folder.

I tried with your suggestions with success.

Now I'll try to use LRC sometimes before to delete the folder located in "C" disk.

Just for your future benefit and to be completely clear, it is LRCAT, not IRCAT.
