Frames of photos drop shadows and I can't compare slight differences between lightness of photos because of that.
Is it possible to turn these shadows off in compare mode or in grid cells at least?
(I know it is possible in Develop mode)
Thanks Anna.
Survey view will work with Lights out configured like below.
Select the images you want to compare, and press N. Then press L twice to get a white background and no drop shadow.
Unlike Compare view, you can use more than two images.

I have never seen a drop-shadow in compare view.
Please show us a screen capture.

There is no way to turn it off, but you can submit a feature request here:

In Develop, there is no drop shadow when the GPU is enabled.

You can play with the "Lights out" and Background options under Preferences->Interface to see if any of those help.

Lights out with the right settings can remove the drop shadow in Loupe view, but it doesn't work in Compare view.

I do notice a slight shadow effect on the bottom and sides of the image in compare mode. But I don't see how that would cause you not to be able to compare lightness of the images.
There are other tools to view the overall brightness/lightness of the 2 images. Histogram and the Brightness Value in the Metadata section of the right hand panel.
But in the end it is the User that decides if the image is to bright, to dark or just right for what they want.

I often compare lightness of walls to 100%white of Lightroom background next to the image and this "border" of shadow makes it difficult.

Alright I have it!
When I set Lights out mode to white, start compare mode and twice press L, all background disappear.
Thank you all.
