Issue applying 6.14 update to Lightroom 6.0

New Here ,
Mar 09, 2018 Mar 09, 2018

Hi, I can't seem to get my Lightroom 6 to upgrade to 6.14. I've downloaded the 6.14 upgrade as well as  the 6.13 and the 6.12 but every time I run the AdobePatchInstaller.exe file for any of these updates, I receive the following message:

"This patch is not applicable for you. Please check for updates from the Help menu in your product to see a list of latest updates available."

In Lightroom, I've click on Help>Updates and after searching for a few seconds it tells me that Lightroom is up to date. However when I look at the System Info, it shows that I'm still only running Lightroom 6.0. What's strange is that it's showing that my Op System is 8.1, but I definitely have 10 Pro installed.

Lightroom version: 6.0 [1014445]

License: Perpetual

Operating system: Windows 8.1 Business Edition

Version: 6.3 [9600]

Application architecture: x64

System architecture: x64

This is very frustrating as I need the updated camera profiles, but I don't want to have to upgrade to CC or CC Classic.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

You have to download the installation files from here: Download Photoshop Lightroom

First download an install Lightroom 6. This is not the actual version. I think it's 6.1

In the next step you have to download and install the update to version 6.14. You'll find the update on the same side.

If this doesn't help please described exactly what you've done an which error messages you get. And please post the version of the operating system you are using.

Im stumped too!   But I appreciate the attempt!  Yes, V6.0 is installed then tried the update (6.14 Patch). And did the reboot.  Version number does not change in the system info.  Its weird!

Just and FYI.  Ive also tried starting with a lower version of the patches all the way down to 6.1 with no luck.

Next suggestion-

Be sure you have your Serial Number keys for v6.0 (and and previous versions)

Run the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to clean your computer of Adobe programs (you can select Lightroom)

Reboot, then start all over again- v6.0 -v6.14 update.

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

the updates are gone again. This is really frustrating. The online help is really slow in responding too. I've been waiting 20 minutes already with no response.

LATEST

The 'updates' list no longer shows.

Adobe wants everyone to update to v6.14 so it is the only one listed now.

The Download shown for "Lightroom 6" is for v6.14.  Download and install!

Download Photoshop Lightroom

OK, none of the stuff above in this thread worked for me. What _did_ work:

install Adobe Application Manager 10 Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Windows : Adobe Application Manager : Thank You

Run Adobe Application Manager 10

Enter adobe id credentials as prompted

it churned for a long time but eventually came back

Select Apps and look for Lightroom.

In my case Lightroom Classic CC was listed, there were two versions (7.5 and 6.0) - I had to select the drop-down triangle to see the entry for Lightroom CC (2016) (v 6.0) which had an Update option next to it

Select Update for Lightroom CC (2015) (v 6.0)

It took a while but this updated Lightroom 6.0 to Lighroom 6.14.

Hope this helps others with the same problem.
