I need help interpreting this kernel panic.  2016 MBP.  Happens currently when I run Enhance on a iPhone 14 Pro RAW file.

Symptoms: Run enhance, gets  3/4 through, black screen/resets, loads Lightroom on boot, black screen/reset. Also just happens whenever lightroom feels like it.

System crashes are caused by bugs in the operating system (including drivers) or hardware failures (e.g. bad memory). LR tends to trigger such problems because it uses the computer much more heavily than typical apps and it uses the graphics processor in ways much different than most apps.

With Macs, the only way to get the most recent graphics drivers is to update Mac OS. The crash report indicates you're on Mac OS 12.6.3, and you can't update to Mac OS 13 because your 15"  Late 2016 Macbook Pro isn't supported by Mac OS 13.

To narrow down the problem, I suggest these steps:

1. Post a screenshot of the Enhance window so we can see the exact settings you're using.

2. Upload the problem photo to Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar and post the sharing link here. We can see if it triggers problems on other installations.

3. Run the free Intel Power Gadget to see if your Macbook Pro is overheating due to clogged fans (a common problem with Intel Macbook Pros).  Over the years there have been many reports here that LR triggers overheating problems -- it uses much more CPU and GPU than the typical app.

4. Run Apple Diagnostics, preferably at least twice.

5. Set Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor to Off. I'm not sure if Enhance uses the graphics processor, but if it does, disabling this option will avoid bugs in the graphics driver.
