Lightroom ©️ 2017: Bright red flashes in 'Develop'

Explorer ,
Sep 23, 2017 Sep 23, 2017

Hi:

Since an update,  images in the 'develop' section show bright red areas which can be diminished by reducing the 'white', and sometimes 'highlights' in the image. This does not show in Library, or the developed image when exported.

I guess it's areas of over exposure (white T shirts for example on a sunny day), but it's really annoying and I cannot focus properly on adjusting the image.

Does anyone else find this, and how have you dealt with it.

Thank you

Bridget

Bridget,

You're right, those are portions of the image where the highlights are clipped. Look at the upper right corner of the histogram. There's a box there that is probably highlighted. Click on it to turn off the clipping warning.
