Lightroom 12.0.1 encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit. Lightroom will attempt to fix this problem the next time it launches.I already try to remove the preview data without any results. I have a brand new laptop HP ENVY with a Intel Core i7. Please help me.

Please try to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue.

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

Another step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

Which operating system do you use?

Please post the exact version and not only phrases as "recent", "latest" and so on.

 

Is your system up-to-date? Do you have installed the latested versions of all drivers for chipset, devices, especially the graphic card?

Hi All,

Problem solved by myself. Please read this, it could help also others.

I have Google Drive for backup for all of my foto's, in a setting of Desktop Backup. I don't know why, but it makes the harddrive slow because of live backup. But now I set my Google Drive as a mirror backup, and now it wouldn't influence the speed of my harddrive. Conclusion, be carefull how you set up the backup of Google.
