Lightroom 5 - Import/Convert ARW to DNG -Not working

I have Lightroom5, yes i know it is old, but it works fine until I got my new Sony and it creates ARW files.

I tried to import them but get the error that it doesn't recognize them.

I checked the Library "convert file to DNG" but that is grayed out as I am unable to import the file into the catalog.

Please help

Yes it is old, and you answered your own question.

Check here Cameras supported by Camera Raw

to see what version of Lightroom you need to recognize the AWR files from your new camera.

What camera did you buy?  If it is listed in the link above you can download the latest version of Adobe's free DNG converter.

If your camera is not listed, it is too new for the converter, in which case you will have to wait until the camera is supported.
