Lightroom CC backups have no color labels

No idea when this started but I can reproduce this over and over on two different machines both with the latest CC version. One a Macbook Pro retina 13 and the other a Mac Pro both with the latest Sierra.

Here's the situation...

My library makes heavy use of color labels.

I back up my library regularly and test those backups periodically. I just tested today after a backup completed and the unzipped backup library has absolute no color labels. I tested it two more times with two more backups and again no color labels are in the backups but they are in the actual library.

1. Can anyone confirm this is now a common behavior?

2. If it's not a common behavior any ideas how to fix this?

Same issue here running the latest CC version. Have you renamed your color labels?

It works fine here   CC2015.12   OS X 10.11.6

Fine here as well. Win 10; LR 2015.12. Perhaps resetting the preferences file might help.
