Lightroom CC can't open CR2-files from Canon 6D Mark II

Community Beginner ,

Hi guys

Hope you can help me. I took first pictures with my new Canon 6D Mark II. When I wanted to import them with lightroom CC (on a macbook), I received the message that Lightroom cant open these files. But according to the information on the adobe side, it should be possible.

I did all updates and after that, I could open them with Photoshop. But Lightroom keeps saying no.

Of course, I can convert them to DNG and open them in Lightroom, but I would like to avoid that.

Can you help?

Thanks and best

Julius

Take a look here: Lightroom CC Install Failure—Exit Code: 7 and DF015

Here is the correct link from the correct answer: Error exit code 6, exit code 7 installing Adobe Creative Cloud

It can be also a problem with missing permissions. https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/user-permissions-issues.html

Support for Canon 6D Mark II was added to CC 2015.12 / 6.12  mid-July 2017 - what version have you updated to?

Lightroom CC 2015.12 now available

What version NUMBER of Lightroom do you have installed? Go to Help->System Info and report the version NUMBER of Lightroom. We need the NUMBER and not words like "Current" or "up-to-date".

When Lightroom "keeps saying no", what is the exact word-for-word unedited verbatim error message?

Thanks for your replies and sorry for not being precise.

The message is in German, it says more or less "Import could not be done. Lightroom cannot open the file. (1)".

I have Ligthroom CC and the version number is 2015.8. I see that you are referring to version 2015.12, but according to Adobe Creative Cloud, there is no update for my version available. How can I get the 2015.12 version?

In case you need further info, please let me know.

And thanks for your support, I appreciate this.

Well... I tried all 5 solutions. They first 4 did not change anything. After trying solution 5, I cant even install Lightroom.

I always see this error:
