Lightroom cc lens profiles gone

New Here ,
Oct 07, 2017 Oct 07, 2017

I have used LRCC 2015 without issue for years. Up until today it got my lens info from exif automatically. Today, it no longer sees my lens profiles or links to the existing list in the lens profiles folder.

Under profile corrections, (which used to automatically populate) if I enter Sony, the only lens it puts up is "Sony DT 18-200mm f 3.5-6"

There is no dropdown list.

By the way it has this same issue on my MacBook pro and my Mac Pro desktop machine.

Tried resetting preferences, didn't help.

Please help. I have jobs being impacted by this.

Most profiles are for RAW files only. Please verify if you have RAW or JPG.

RAW, of course.

Found the problem. It was indeed JPEG. I would never in a thousand years

select JPEG, always shoot RAW, but the files were JPEGs. Glad the only

shoot I had was an unpaid one.

I had an unrelated problem a week ago with the camera, and did a reset to

factory specs. Unbeknownst to me, that reset defaults the resolution to

"Fine." Not even extra-fine. What's wrong with Sony that they'd have such

a dumb default setting?

Thanks,

VB

"What's wrong with Sony that they'd have such a dumb default setting?" - This might be better addressed in a Sony forum 😉      I can see where they might want to give the quick, easy, and small default to the average user thinking the advanced user would more easily find the correct setting - but you'd think it a no-brainer to send a reminder heads-up that settings had been defaulted.
