Looking at the NVIDIA driver website, For that GPU, for that OS, I see two current drivers, The Game Ready at v 551.76 and the Studio at v551.61. So I am lead to think you have the latest Game Ready driver. NVIDIA the Studio driver for creative apps as opposed to the Game Ready for gamers. The Studio driver is more stable, more tested, the Game Ready could include issues affecting non games.

You might consider installing the Studio version. When/if you do, select custom for install type as to force a clean install. You might want to search at NVIDIA for how to replace a driver, This might take time that at the end may have been to no value as this might not be the problems cause.
