My lightroom classic recently crashed. Since then I can't open the catalog I was using. Message says that it is being used by another copy of lightroom and I must exit out of it first. There is no other copy open that I can identify. Please help me.

Since Lightroom crashed, it didn't close properly and it left a lock file behind. You will need to open the folder that contains your catalog and locate that file. It will have the same name as your catalog, but will have the .lock extension. You will need to delete that file, and once you do Lightroom will start again.
