Lightroom Classic initial setup

I am trying to setup Lightroom Classic on a new Windows 11 computer. When I drag my image file to the Lrc image on the task bar it does nothing. This technique works fine on Windows 10 bit I have had no luck using this technique on Windows 11. If this is a problem on Windows 11 pro is there an alternative approach to set up my catalogue on Windows 11?

Doesn't work on my Windows 11 either.

Why not simply import the photos you want? Or drag photo files into the open LrC Window?

Building on @dj_paige's reply:

- You can drag photos into Library Grid view, and that will open the Import window with those photos selected.

- If the LR window isn't currently visible, you have two options:

1. Drag the photos and hover over the LrC icon in the dock until the LR window is visible, then drop the photos into the middle of Library Grid view.

2. In File Explorer, right-click the photos and do Open With > Adobe Lightroom Classic. That will start LR if necessary, bring it to the foreground, and open its Import window with the photos selected. (This has long been broken on Mac.)

I find right-click-Open-With less fussy than drag-hover-and-drop, especially on larger displays.

Arte you trying to run an old catalog that was on your Windows 10 computer on a new Windows 11 computer?

I am using a fresh Catalogue that I created in Windows 11 with nothing in it.
