Hi there,
My Lightroom keeps crashing, it will freeze after a task or two and then my laptop crashes. I have tried everything from this list https://shotkit.com/lightroom-keeps-crashing/ I have even formated my laptop. Please help my laptop has no problem with anything else, only with lightroom and photoshop which I use every day for work.

"...and then my laptop crashes...my laptop has no problem with anything else, only with lightroom and photoshop"

This is almost certainly a hardware problem -- LR, and to a less degree PS, can stress hardware resources more than virtually any other app, including games.

A common problem with Mac laptops is overheating. Apple favors svelte designs over properly cooled, full-performance packaging. When a Mac laptop starts to overheat, it should start slowing programs down enough to cool it off, but sometimes that doesn't work, and the computer will abruptly halt.

Assuming you have an Intel-based Mac, install the Intel Power Gadget and use it to monitor your CPU's temperature as you use LR.  It will show if your laptop starts to overheat.

If it does, take the computer to an Apple store or certified repair and ask them to clean the vents and cooling fans and ensure the fans are working.

If it doesn't, Google how to run Mac hardware diagnostics, and/or take your Mac to a certified repair to get them to run thorough diagnostics.

Try logging into another account (you may need to make one): does it still crash?

If you boot into Safe mode (hold down Shift Key at boot): does it still crash?

Have you tried running a free utility like Onyx to see if that stops the crashing?

I created a similar post last night that was immediately marked as spam. I contacted the moderator(s), but have yet to be contacted or see my post released to public view.

I have a 3 day old Mac Studio (M1 Max) running latest version of Monterey and latest LRC. While my '17 27" iMac is also running latest version of Monterey, but is running LRC 11.1 vs 11.2 on the Studio. My iMac is running fine, but the LRC on the Studio keeps crashing. Every time I exit the application I get a crash report. And ... most times I export images to HDD or Publish to service LRC freezes. I don't know if it's hardware, software or combination, but since my iMac is running fine I have to think something is going on with 11.2?

@jasander77, best to start your own thread, since your symptoms are much different than @Danielle23933103s74u's.
