LRC is not importing pictures. When I open the import window, I see the files, but the thumbnails are grey. When I press the import button nothing happens. When I stop the importing I get a message that that no videos or photos were found to import. I have already uninstalled and reinstalledLRC.

I find it odd that some info appears to be still loading. Apparently your LrC cannot even list the system info in a timely manner?

In that import, did any video files exist along with stills to be imported?
An apparent current bug??
hmm, if you do have a video included in that import, and if that odd Audio and Video Info:Loading relates, then perhaps the following link is applicable:

Thank you, the import contained video files. I'll try the link.

I am having the same experience. I updated my catalog recently and now I cannot import any photos. I can move a new photo the appropriate file in wndows explorer and then add the photo to the catalog. However, Lingroom Classic locks up it it tries to move or copy a new photo when importing.

I cant get LR to import photos either. It worked one week & not the next. I'm using LR Classic 6. Even though the photos are in My Explorer Pictures file (& in One Drive too), the file name does not come up or is darkened out. Screen says No photos found. There no Import on the bottom Left screen. The folder does show up in the list of files on the right section. I have renamed, combined, copy & pasted, put them on a USB drive...nothing works. Like I said, it worked one week and then the next week not! I've tried everything that I could find in help articles. Any suggestions?

I've just been battling with the same issue for weeks. Everything was working fine then suddenly no import and grey boxes in the import diaog as you describe. Tried various things myself such as the usual Prefs reset, messing about moving the entire LRc catalog folder, new catalog etc etc. I even had an Adobe tech on remote for about 3 hours the other day, tried allsorts of tweaks, even clean install of LRc but the issue persisted. I finally cracked it myself today when I found that the owenership of the drive I was trying to import to had somehow changed. I changed it back to what it says on my other drives and Bingo! all fine again. What a head banger that was!
