Lightroom classic not updating second screen with edits

Not sure if this is a bug, recently updated to Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 release, running Windows 11 Home 23H2 build 22631,4317 with 2 monitors both in 4k mode. 64GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 2070 Super, AMD Ryzen 9 3900X

Edits on the main screen do not show up on the 2nd screen (which they did on all previous lightroom version)

Second monitor has Show, Full Screen and Loupe - Normal ticked.

If I move the mouse over to the second screen after making amendments on the main screen  the image on the second screen changes to an all black image  the remainder of the loupe screen is there but the image is now completely black.

thanks for that tip, I haven't had to edit so many spots before and it was driving me crazy. The Survey mode does seem to resolve my issues 90+% of the time, only the odd few pixellating.

I am happy with what I have now - many thanks for all your help.

Sounds like a GPU issue. Are your GPU drivers up to date?

Does Ndivia have Studio and Game Ready drivers for this GPU? If so, check that you do not use the Game Ready drivers, but the Studio drivers.

It is the game ready driver, which it always has been.

I will see if there are studio drivers.

Thanks for your help

I have installed the studio drivers, rebooted and the problem is still there.

drivers are from October 2024.

if I switch to another image in the filmstrip and back to the edited one the edits show on the second screen, but any new edits to that image still don't.

Have turned off use GPU and no difference.

made secondary monitor the primary and no difference.

removed video card in device manager, restarted and no difference.

if I use grid display on the secondary monitor I can see the amendments in real time, but of course the image is small and I know of no way to increase the size on the secondary monitor.

There should be a slider in the lower right corner to increase the grid size. What happens if you choose 'Survey' view on the second monitor rather than 'Loupe' view?

I have found the slider, it still gives me 8 images on the screen, updates do show up but difficult to see even with 30in monitor.

Survey mode works fine with 10+ megapixel images, what I’m working on
Is many low resolution images sent to me many around 1-2 megapixels. Survey mode is ok for a few and then the secondary monitor pixelates very bad so much that all details are lost.

Have tried turning off GPU again in settings but no change.

The worst part is that I have to remove many spots and eventually the indicators for what has been removed cover the areas I’m trying to fix.

If that is the main problem, then that is easy to fix. In the panel of the remove brush you can set the tool overlay to 'Never'. That means that Lightroom remove tool works like Photoshop. No little icons covering the view, no outlines showing what you brushed. And so no need to view the image on a second monitor as well?
