lightroom develop not working

Just downloaded Lightroom and images are clear in library but are like a psychadelic cartoon in develop stage, cannot develop my images or work on them

Go to the Edit->Preferences menu, Performance tab, and deselect the 'Use Graphics Processor' check box.
