Lightroom Classic, Clicking stack icon not working

  1. Version of the app: LRC 13.2
  2. Platform and OS version:WIN 10 PRO
  3. Basic steps to reproduce the problem: use LRC. Long standing problem that's been happening for many, many years.
  4. Expected result: stack the images: click on stack icon to open or close the stack
  5. and actual result: Clicking the stack to open and close it is not working

Stripping out all preferences, actions, customization, preferences to fix this is not a solution. If there was a was to save all of the preferences, actions, customization, preferences and reload it would be an acceptable solution.

What exactly do you mean? Hitting key S does not collapse/extend a stack?

I made a mistake in my post. S key is working for opening and closing stacks. Clicking the stack to open and close it is not working.

Where exactly are you clicking, and is this in Library Grid view - or, in the Filmstrip?

In Grid view, there is a narrow bar on the left side of border of the first image of an open stack, and at the right side of the last - clicking either of these collapses the stack. Then you see the top image only, with bars both sides - clicking either bar expands the stack.

Both in Grid and in Filmstrip - assuming badges are visible in the Filmstrip - any stacking info appears top left of the image part of each thumbnail. Collapsed, just the top image shows stating e.g. "3". Clicking this 3 expands the stack. When expanded, the first (top) image shows e.g. "1 of 3" and clicking that does collapse the stack. The second image shows e.g. "2 of 3" etc, and clicking the 2 promotes that image to become the new first (top) of this stack but without collapsing it.

I had a similar problem in Loupe view. Fixed by right clicking image, going to view options, and then unselecting "Ignore Clicks on Badges."
