I suddenly started having this problem when I try to export photos. During the export process, as soon as I click the button to select the folder to export to, Lightroom freezes. It freezes to the point where I have to completly restart my PC to get Lightroon working again. I am on Windows 10 and am running the latest version of Lightroom. Any suggestions? I need to get this fixed ASAP. Everything else seams to be working fine, develope module, etc.
Thanks,
Rich

In a first step I would try to reset the Lightroom preferences to the default settings

Thanks, but that did not work. I tried it right after resetting and it did the same thing. I just copied back my original preferences file and it still does not work. Any other suggestions?

UPDATE - I tried something. My workflows include starting eveything in Lightroom Mobile so that I have access to them for editing from my iPad or iPhone. I also do most of my editing from Lightroom Classic which is synched with mobile (specific folders). Once they are edited, I do two exports; one to a permenant folder for access copies (JPG), and then I export them again to another location as DNG files as my master copies and then I delete the RAW files (something new I am trying). What I did this time that worked is I moved them to a hard drive location not synched with lightroom mobile before exporting. That worked. Could it be that I have too much content on the cloud? I have a total of 1,529 photos on the could using 13.2 GB of 100 GB. The synched folder they are coming from has 348 photos. Does any of this make any sense?
Thanks,
Rich

I am sure that I did, but I am now sure how. Once thing that I did discover, and this may be unrelated, but helpful anyway, is that I have network drives for work mapped on my home PC is. If I am not connected to the VPN, I cannot connect to those drives. That means that if Windows Explorer, or another program, is trying to navigate for something, and one of those drives, is trying to include those network drives, the process will come to a grinding hault. This happens with Lightroom all the time. Thus, I need to be connected to my work VPN almost all the time. Also, if there are items that are syncying from my phone mobile Lightroom but have not finished before I've finished synching before I close the app, the synch on Lightroom Classic won't be able to continue. It will just just hang, saying "Synching x number of files." Those files are from the mobile and not complete. So I have to open the mobile app, let that complete, and then any other syncing that I want to do can continue. Hope this helps. Rich
