Lr Exporting Crazy Number of 1 Image

New Here ,
Apr 09, 2017 Apr 09, 2017

Hi,

This past week, Lr has begun doing something freaky. Typically, after I edit an image (iMac, use Creative Cloud Lr), I then export the image without a problem. This week, Lr determines its own number (101, 74, etc.) and I cannot get it to stop doing that. I don't have any presets. I copy RAW files from SD card. Nothing different. At first, I would close the catalogue and then reopen, which seemed to work. Now, no deal.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Mary Ann

When LR starts doing really strange stuff, resetting the Preferences file often helps:

What you mean by, "determines its own number"? Do you mean it's renaming the exports?

Hi....No, i mean i select export image, of which i only want one, and the

progeam automatically starts exporting literally 100 or 74, which i stop.

The number is greyed out so i cannot figure out where or how it happens.

Thanks,

MA

Is it exporting 100 of the same image or 100 other images that you did not mean to export?

That is really strange! Never seen it do that. Does it do this with a new freshly created catalog with just a few images in it?

I have one catalogue. When i import i create a folder dated with that day's

shoot. From that shoot, I create collections.

Lr has also recently started creating on its own different smart

collections. So weird.

What are the repurcussions if I uninstall/reinstall Lr? Mmy catalogue exists on an wxternal drive and I have another ext drive as a backup of that one.

P.s. It will say, for ex, train station 1, train station 2, etc.

You should first try resetting the preferences. Reinstalling Lightroom almost never helps. If resetting preferences doesn't help try a fresh catalog with only a few images. It is possible that your catalog file has issues.
