I have updated my OS (Ubuntu) on my computer without previously deactivating Lightroom 6.
When launching it, now I have a Serial Number screen indicating that the maximum number of authorized devices has been reached.

Is it possible to reset the associated activation count?

Thank you taking into account my request

Sorry, but I don't believe it is possible. You might be able to Activate 'Offline'- Search the forum for instructions.

So I have tried this procedure, but unfortunately, by filling valid Request code & Serial Number, I receive the following Response code :

Activation limit reached for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6. This Serial Number XXXX-... has already been activated on 2 machines. Please deactivate one of the other computers and try again.

@emmanuel_3482it is my understanding that when you try the Offline Activation procedure, you should not get such a message; which makes me think you didn't do the procedure properly.

@dj_paige, thank you for your answer.
But I think I follow the right procedure, and I think the answer is logical, as I have already reached the limit of machines.

Well, its possible that you did the offline activation procedure properly. I don't really know as I have never done it; but this is the first time I have heard of the offline activation procedure running into this problem. Were you truly offline when this happened?

Totally lost now. You tried to active Lr 6 via Smart phone? That's not the procedure.

No, I tried to get the Response code via my smartphone (instead of a second computer), in order to have my regular computer, where my LR6 is installed, deconnected.

Eventually, I have found a solution. Replacing my .wine folder by a former backup from my previous Ubuntu, did the trick after few adjustments.
