I'm getting an error in lightroom, when i turning on attribute Filter it changes the color category and keywords of pictures. do you know how to resolve this?
I'm not sure how i got to this point, I did ctrl+z a bunch of times thinking i had made a mistake (and maybe I did) but I'm not sure how to get they synced up. For now I'm just not using attribute mode... this has never happened before
With No Filters
just clicking on the attribute button, changed all of this... and it also removed a key word I had recently added to the blue group above in trying to work around Attribute. The Text filter does work, with the recently added keywords
any thoughts on how to reset this? or what I did to cause this?

Up in the menu bar, in Library, see if Use Filters is on, and check each filter, one or more may need resetting. I suspect not showing blue labels is selected.

To build on GoldingD's reply, when you click on Attribute, it's applying the Has Edits filter:
(You might have clicked that sometime before.) So only photos that have edits will be displayed. The blue-labeled photo doesn't have any edits, so it will get filtered out, whereas the green-labeled photo does have edits:
Because you've got three consecutive photos that are near-identical, this was fooling you into thinking the color labeling was changing.
These small icons with the many-shades-of-grey UI color scheme can be hard to discern, and I sometimes still get tripped up by them after 13 years of using LR.
Also, I find it useful to change the Grid's View > View Options to display the file name on the thumbnails.
