For some reason, I cannot get my photos to open in Photoshop from Lightroom Classic. Using the keyboard shortcut doesn't work, clicking on Photo>Edit In doesn't work and right-clicking the photo and selecting edit in Photoshop also does not work. Things I've tried:
- Uninstalling Photoshop
- Uninstalling Photoshop and Lightroom while keeping preferences
- Uninstalling Photoshop and Lightroom NOT keeping preferences
I've installed Photoshop first after reading that it was important to do so but it is STILL not working. I'm at a loss, please send help.

Hi @staceyc97341146 ,
When you open Lightroom Classic, go to Preferences -> External Editing.
Under the external editing tab, you should see a drop down which shows the PS version selected. Please confirm if you are seeing a drop down with PS selected?
If you are not seeing this, please open Photoshop seperately once and then close it. Now recheck if the preferences (shown above) is displaying Photoshop.
Then retry the workflow
Thanks,
Arjun

1. Can you please share your System Info (Lightroom Help -> System Info) ?
2. Is the issue happening after any particular Lightroom update?

Do you work with Smartpreviews? If yes, is the original RAW file available for the image you try to edit in Photoshop?

Yes and yes. I can even open photos from Lightroom Classic into Topaz. It's just Photoshop that doesn't seem to want to work.

Very strange. As I read you have already tried to reinstall LR and PS.
What happened exactly when you try to edit a photo in Photoshop from Lightroom? Do you get an error message?
Did Photoshop starting? See in the Windows Taskmanager if there's a Photoshop task.
Doews it makes any difference to start Photoshop first and put it into the background before you try "Edit in..."
What has been changed on you system before the error occur?
Try to create a new user account with Admin rights or an new Administrator account in Windows and check it under this account.

Another try is a complete and clean reinstallation by following the steps below:
If you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)
