Restore a recent backup copy of this catalog file. Unzip it, then copy the unzipped catalog to the folder with the bad catalog, thereby overwriting the bad catalog with the backup (which hopefully is good).

Restart (cold boot) your machine and don't start any applications. Then try again.
If this doesn't help check iff there are any protection software, like virus scanner and so on, are active. If yes stop all these programs and try again?
Check if you have the appropriate access rights to the appropriate folder.

Hello dj_paige,
Finally, I was able, in my cloud folio, to unzip the old (31 Oct) 009.lrcat file, copy it to the previous folder and overwriting the 19 November file. I then executed LrC and got a very quick message in French saying that the repair will take several minutes.
I did not hear my computer working, waited 10 minutes, executed LrC and nothing happened. Find below a picture of my One Drive screen, this time in JPEG rather than PNG. You can see that previous attemps were also not successful.

DON'T locate your catalog on OneDrive !!! Doing so can caused to various problems.
It isn't recommended to store the Lightroom catalog on Onedrive. Move it to your internal hard disk which isn't synchonize with OneDrive.

Hello Axel,
Since November 26, I could not bring LrC on screen, and after putting my protection software dormant and moving the latest catalog.lrcat from One Drive to my hard disk, LrC finally opened, but before opening the Catalog it warned me that I would not have access to the whole database (in French : les négatifs des photos raw would be missing) until I move the Catalog.lrcat-data to the same location on my hard disk . I was unable to move that file, so I executed the catalog and my 43,500 appeared on screen in their final form. I do not expect a response, and thanks.
