Hi girls 'n guys,
I am a longtime user of LightRoom Classic (before it was even called 'Classic'). I have a few presets that I have made myself and have been using them for years and tweaked them along the way, including subject selections etc in more recent years. One of the steps it does, is apply lens correction, which, for the most part, I do like. However, I am also shooting a lot of people with my Canon 16-35 f2.8L iii lens and I tend to shoot really close. But I never like what profile corrections is doing, especially in the 16-20mm range. The same for my SIGMA 14-24 f2.8 lens.
Ideally, I would like to input somewhere that the preset should not enable (or disable) lens profile corrections for the range of 14-22-ish mm. If that is not possible, I would be okay to take out corrections for the two lenses mentioned above.
I know that there is an ISO-specific setting for adding presets, but I can't find any for focal lenghts or specific lenses.
Does anybody know if this is at all possible? I would prefer to set it straight into my main preset(s) and not add another step in my workflow, select focal ranges through metadata, select one photo, disable profile correction for image one and then sync it all (or make a preset to disable profile corrections).
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance,
best regards,
DrBobke

You can't disable lens corrections automatically for one particular lens, but what you can do is this. Disable lens corrections in a photo, then create a new preset where Lens Corrections is checked. That means you now have a preset that actually disables lens corrections. Now filter your images for the lens in question and apply the preset to these photos.

Thanks Johan, that is what I suggested myself in the original post too, but ideally, I would like to have the option in the preset menu. Sort of 'set it and forget it' kind of thing... That way would add another step in the workflow, which I would like to prevent. 🙂 but thank you for your comment nonetheless

Unfortunately, that can't be done.
