Menu bar keeps disappearing.

I'm using Lr 2015 with Windows 8.1.

My problem is that the "menu bar" at the bottom of the screen keeps disappearing.  By "menu bar" I mean the strip where you can set a particular photo to a color label, a rating, a flag, etc.  I've really spent time looking how to turn this back on but to no avail.  A bigger question is why it disappears in the first place.  The only way that I've found to "fix" this is to uninstall Lr and then to reinstall it.  The menu bar at the bottom is apparently in the initial set up so that it does then appear, but then disappears after a while.

There is usually a down arrow towards the lower right corner to click which allows me to choose what items to show on the menu bar, but that disappears too.

I have run my AVG ant-virus, which detected no virus, but the problem persists.

Do you have a Mac or PC?  I am wondering if it is a screen resolution issue or a screen mode. Have you tried going to Window > Screen mode > Normal ? Also double check to see if your computer is running the ratio that is best for showing everything on your screen. I know on one of my computers the projector took over the resolution and I lost a few things from my menus and panels.

I will check back to see if this is resolved or not. I also remember dealing with this issue a few weeks ago on a users computer all will track down what our resolution was for her.
