missing nikon lens profiles in lightroom

I am amazed that my lightroom installation does not include the lenses in the supported lenses list.  I am using very common nikon lenses and I can't correct the images. I used to be able to do that in previous lightroom versions.

I am really pissed off, with no help in sight as usual.

Really adobe, check your stuff. There is plenty of long threads here about just that, with no solutions.

Any chance the recent photos are JPEG images and the previous years are raw photos? Most lens profiles are for raw images. Just a thought and something to consider.
