Recently started using Lightroom CC and have a question about the RAW compatibility options found in the preferences>File Handling>Import DNG Creation. Maybe a non-issue but if I convert my D90 RAW files to DNG do I use the 7.1 version? If not, which version do I choose?

Hi HW,

Ideally you'd use the latest version. Other versions are listed for compatibility reasons, if you had some need to generate an older version for legacy purposes. I've never run across such a reason myself.

Agree!

The option is there, but I never ran into problems using a newer DNG version with an older Adobe program. May be some features cannot be read out, but there is no fundamental problem with this until now.
