Not all Hard drives showing in 'Source' menu when Importing

Hi,

I have recently started working on a brand new hard drive. I have made partitions in this drive, (B:) for Data and (C:) for Programs. Unfortunately when I got to import photos from my (B:) hard drive it does not show in the Source menu that displays when the import tab opens up. Instead, Lightroom shows (C:) Programs, (D:) my CD reader and (E:) my backup drive. Please let me know if you know of a way to display my (B:) drive this menu. Thanks!

A and B were used for floppy disk drives back when computers didn't have hard drives, and they are not in common use today.

Try renaming the B drive to F, and see if that makes a difference.

Simple fact is the A and B drive letters were reserved for Floppy Disk Drives since Disk Operating Systems where invented, written. Also you already have a C drive. It is where the Windows Operating system is installed on.

So chose different drive letters. You have 22 to chose from. I usually start with T or U and work up the alphabet.
