I just updated to Lightroom Classic 14.0.1. All develop history on edited photos is missing. Is there a way to get the history back?
@MIFKAP I had the same problem
Upon upgrade a copy of you old catalog was created in a folder called "Old Lightroom Catalogs"...it is located in the same folder of your current LrC 14 catalog.
Keep that safe...move it to a safe location if you prefer but you can keep it there.
Now copy the old catalog (I said copy, do not move it) back to the location of your choice., for instance where the current LrC 14 catalog is.
If you have NOT not renamed your catalog after upgrade then copying the old LrC 13

I upgraded today and it was a catastrophe going from 14.0 to 14.0.1. All of my history was left off. After reading this thread, I followed the advice and went through the upgrade again and everything was fine. I have a Windows 11 PC. Glad it's over. Otherwise, my wife would have had to take me to the cardiac care unit. These things are so delicate with Lightroom. I am seriously going to consider moving to DXO. There are no catalogs and you merely place your images in folders and do things manually. Automation always seems to introduce problems.

I am happy that this works for users who only had issues after updating to 14.0.1 and could upgrade the previous catalog again. Unfortunately my issues with edit history and previews pre-date v14 and so this solution doesn't work! This might not be causing cardiac strain for me but is definitely causing marital strain, due to my determination to get this sorted!!
