P: Previous image briefly appears in Crop tool

Hey all,

huge bug in crop tool in 14.0 LR classic.

When I open the crop tool, it does not show the file I have chosen, but the one I edited before, until it switches to the file I actually want to edit.

Very annoying, got to adjust lots of images and have to wait for like 3 seconds each time, before I can start to edit.

Please fix this

cheers,

Stephan

Francois, it seems to be necessary and better, if you have generated 1:1 previews for the files, before working on the crop. Try it and get back to me, please. Bon nuit

The 14.1 update for this bug is a real joke : instead of having the previous picture displayed during 3 seconds, I've a gray screen for 3 sec! Adobe just changing what is displayed, not the bug! LrC since 14.x versions is very very slow : croping, changing photos with keyboard, etc. Almost everything taking time, make me nuts! LrC Seems to have a lot of RAM leaks, it slow down after many hours/days of use (or just open).

Same. This was a bug in a previous version that Adobe fixed and has now resurfaced. It's super annoying and just long enough to disrupt a professional workflow. Adobe please fix this (again!).

Happens to me as well.
LrC 14.0.1

MBP M1 PRO 32Gb RAM

MacOS 15.1.1

Happens on 32mp images and is quite frustrating. Building 1:1 or any previews didn't help either.

Waiting for Adobe to fix this..

I can reproduce this on my machine. RTX 3050Ti mobile.

I have it, too. It's showing up for about half a second (with an RTX 4070 Super as work accelerator under Windows 11).

Question to all attendee: Most agree that this is a bug but only 3 upvotes at the initial post? I don't get it.
