What happened to the opacity slider in the remove section of Lightroom Classic in the recent upgrade? There used to be an opacity slider for both cloning and removal. Is this no longer an option?

Thanks,

Joann

Hi Joann, After you make your selection of an object and click "Remove" you will see a "Selected" panel that has the opacity slider. You can also cycle through the variations, refine your selection, or delete the selection and start again.

I hope that helps.

Thank you Rick. I was used to it being there before the selection.

Thanks again!

This change absolutely needs to be reverted. Opacity should be available before AND after use. This is a total workflow killer and changes my most used tool after 15+ years of muscle memory. Aside of my personal experience, I see zero practical reason to remove the opacity slider prior to using the heal tool. You now have to look back at that section an extra time, which adds a ton of time in the long run.

I totally agree. I hope Adobe takes note of this.

A very poor UI design decision. Needs to be brought back so that the Opacity setting can be set and seen before the spot remove is added.

In this current design, LrC 'remembers' the last Opacity setting used. When you come back some time later, you may have forgotten what it was, only to find out that it needs changing after you apply a new spot remove. You might not even realise it's not applying the Opacity you think it is (80 rather than 100).

I agree. That's what confused me. I personally don't like having to select the area first.

Hello,

I updated to LRC 14.0.1 the day before yesterday and just noticed that the opacity slider has disappeared from all the removal tools (Win 10).
Am I missing something?
Using 13.5. on my MacBook, still shows the slider.

When will we expect the opacity slider back? I can't imagine this is a permanant change??

Additionally, the whole Remove tool redesign is horrible and makes this very important tool difficult and timely to use.

Adobe, please fix this.
