macOS Sequoia will be released on Sepmtember 16th. Will Lightroom Classic support the new release from day one?

My laptop did the same thing. Tethering no longer works on Sequoia for me. Luckily I have a backup that I didn't run the update on. I learned my lesson on the last update to Sonoma.

According to the link below, lightroom classic and photoshop (and many more adobe apps) are confirmed to be compatible with macOS 15 Sequoia. But it doesn't mean there are no problems...

when in the Gallery module, everything is ok...but, in the Develop module, all pictures get dark and yellowish.

The same thing happened to me.
If GPU acceleration is active, the image in the editing window is too dark and has a yellow/green tint.
The same image looks perfectly fine in the navigator window and in the library module.

I have turned off all automatic Updates in Application Software and Operating Systems (not Security Updates) for a long time now. That is probavbly the best adivce I can give to avoid bad surprises. Sorry to read about all the bad experiences.

Thanks for your advice 🙏
I became not careful enough after I updated several times successfully in recent years.
Now I need to turn off the LR when the camera reload a battery. If I didn't do this,Eos utility would failed to connect USB devices such as camera.
I have modified the option to apply all plug in devices of computer but didn't work.😔

I got a problem in tethering shoot after I updated to Sequoia.
I got a spinning wheel for a long time and failed to thethering.
Could I have any chances to fix it and don't need to use timemachine?
Now I can only use Eos Utility and LR Auto import instead.
Could anyone help me to solve this problem?
Thank you so much!

There is no solution at the moment, believe me I tried everything. EOS Utility and auto import to LR is your best shot for now. A bit tedious, but it works at last.

exact same issue here as well! Extremely frustrating when tethering is part of your work flow and looking for work arounds takes time and costs money. im switching to capture one until they fix it. Capture one has a free trial for 1 month so i'll be using that until there is an update with LR....you never know, i may get on with Capture one and not switch back!

I have just updated to the latest OS, and you are right that you can't tether. Now i'm lost as I'll be having shooting next week. Any other suggestions how?

Tethering seems to be a problem with every new OS version. Next time, I'd wait or install on an external drive for testing, maybe? You can try EOS Utility as well.

Recently I have become accustomed to work with LR and Eos Utility gradually.
Besides transfering speed, I think it has many advantages than LR itself ,it could more power save and more functional.
But speed is a big deal definately.
I think it's difficult to shoot portrait with that speed, but acceptable for still life.

No. You can try the OEM capture software or CaptureOne but apparently, tethering via Lightroom is broken.

Attaching problem report. The crash/exit reproduces within seconds of using the program when I navigate into smartcollections to do usual work/tagging -- I may have a few seconds to click on a photo, then it exits every time.
Seems correlated in time to my recent OSX upgrade to Sequoia 15.0.1.
I've tried the usual maneuvers suggested for recurrent crashes like resetting preferences, rebooting, logging in and out of the adobe app -- nothing successful so far.
thank you,
Matt
