Hi all
please help as I'm at a loss.
everything was working fine until I upgraded to dxo pure raw 4. I used the Lightroom plug in to process 12 photos. All successfully completed. Then went back in Lightroom to view the photos to find them photos plus others stuck loading like in the picture. All greyed out. It's been like that for days not moving.
please help. I have tried everything I can think of. I reinstalled Lightroom and plugins. Turned MacBook on and off. Updated everything.
my next step is to start another catalog.
thanks
chris
This icon means that the image is included in a Sync collection
This icon means that LrC is checking if the previews are current, building new previews, or waiting for a better quality thumbnail to load. So you probably have a corrupted Library preview cache, and the usual fix is to delete it.
Go to Edit > Catalog settings (might be in the Lightroom menu on a Mac)
Click the show button on the right, which will open a Finder window with the catalog folder.
Close LrC, then delete the file

Only a thought. The image file that's generate in PureRAW are normally are relatively large. Is it possible the it will only take some time until the preview is generated?

Hi
thanks for reply. I have been using pure raw for a while and yes it does create a large file but it's been ok in the past. Literally as soon as I upgraded to version 4 I'm having this error. It's been on for a few days and not budged. Also some files that were ok before and not had any processing done are stuck loading. And they are a lot less in file size

Are you perhaps using embedded previews, and is DxO/LrC having issues with that?

By the way, I do not see this mentioned above. When you select one of those images returned back to LrC, when you click on it, does it:

Close LrC, then delete the file whose name ends with Previews.lrdata Do not delete anything else.
Now launch LrC, and previews will rebuild as you browse folders in Library.
You can also click on All photographs in the Catalog panel, select all, and go to Library > Previews > Build standard size previews. This will take some time, so you might want to let the computer do this overnight.
