Afternoon all,
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction with this.
So recently subscribed to the photography plan, and looking to start uploading to a portfolio.
I am using the latest versions of the following apps :
Lightroom Classic
Lightroom CC
Lightroom (mobile app)
I prefer editing pictures on the Lightroom Classic app. However if I am out and about I use the mobile version.
When it comes to my work flow, I tend to upload all images to a certain folder on my PC which is synced to Lightroom Classic. This then grabs the folder names and organises for me.
When I export, I export to a single folder on my computer.
Is there a simply way that I can get Lightroom CC to sync with that folder? Or would I have to manually import each time ?
If it is possible to Sync that folder, Is it possible to also pull names of folders within that folder so it automatically organises into folders on LR CC?

When you sync with LR Classic, the catalog of LR Classic becomes the center of the universe, but the only items synced to other devices via the clouds are either:
The images that are created or imported from LR Mobile get automatically added to the special collection "all synced photographs." But coming from LR Classic, photos are only added to the cloud if you add them to a synced collection.
Also note that, coming from LR Classic, you will sync to the cloud only a Smart Preview, the original full size file is not synced up to the cloud. Any full size file created on a mobile device will sync the full size file down to LR Classic.

You can have the exports come back into Lightroom Classic by ticking 'Add to this Catalog' in Export, but as Sync requires a collection, you'd need to manually add it to a synced collection. You could do a feature request for an 'Add to Collection' after the Add to Catalog button.
