Possible to select/export only one image in slideshow module?

Sometimes I use slideshows to export jpgs with border, or with filename overlay, via option/alt-clicking on "export pdf" button so it becomes "export jpg." This works fine when I have two or more images selected, but when I have one photo selected and I export jpgs from slideshow, my entire filmstrip gets exported (even though "use: selected photos" is visible, and it says below that, "1 selected."

If I create a new collection with only one image, then I can export just the one, but I'm wondering if there's a way to export a single jpg from slideshow module without creating a new collection. I'm about to make a tutorial, and want to make sure I understand this properly.

I think this might be a 'bug' in Lightroom-Classic.

Even with [Use: Selected Photos] checked, I will see a slideshow of ALL the filmstrip photos, and (like you) will get ALL exported as JPG.

Thanks for the reply WobertC; I will post feedback about this. At first I didn't consider it a bug, because I figured single photo slideshows wouldn't be considered, but I agree with you, I think it is a potential bug. There are reasons to make one image slideshows, if you want to export one jpg with a border or with metadata overlay.

I can duplicate the 1 slide selected issue although who is going to create a 1 photo slide show?  At least the dialog on the right is correct where it states "Slide ? of ? (time)" showing ALL the photos in the slideshow.  I agree it shouldn't operate this way but at least you know the workaround.

"...who is going to create a 1 photo slide show?"

Anyone who wants to export a single jpg with a border, or with metadata overlay. Or is there a way to do that not involving the slideshow or plugin?

who is going to create a 1 photo slide show?

I believe the OP wants a JPG from the slideshow module. ie. an image that might have an ID logo and Title, etc.

I have used JPGs from the Lr slideshow module to create a slideshow in other software 'Pictures to exe' (thus being able to use fades, different timing, etc)

I see why you want this now although I just do all that in Photoshop.
