Presets not loading

Hi, whenever I open a new catalog in Lightroom, I have to reinstall my presets. Is there a way to avoid this?

Store presets with catalog? In your preferences, (presets) did you change the default for that, default is unchecked.

I have it checked. Should it not be checked? I use a new catalog with each client. Is that something I should no longer do?
